Modeling and Analysis of Six-phase Self-excited Induction Generators for Wind Energy Conversion

چکیده

A simple mathematical model is proposed to compute the steady-state performance of six-phase self-excited induction generators. A mathematical model is formed directly from the equivalent circuit of six-phase selfexcited induction generator by nodal admittance method. The proposed model completely eliminates the tedious work involved in the existing models. Genetic algorithm is applied to solve the proposed model. The capacitance requirements to maintain constant voltage for various configurations are tabulated. The detailed winding scheme of six-phase self-excited induction generator is also presented. The analytical results are found to be in close agreement with the experimental results.
